<strong><em>A Feast and Conversation the Way It Used To Be</em></strong>.</h2>
<p>San Francisco, CA - It’s a foggy Thursday night but you are inside among friends. An elegant feast spreads before you under the soft glow of candlelight. Passersby on the street have no idea this exclusive gathering is underway.</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Salon Bleue</span> is inspired by the renowned literary salon <span style="color: #000000;">Chambre Bleue</span>, hosted continually by Catherine de Vivonne in 17th century Paris. Her salons were attended by small groups of avant-garde thinkers who gathered to exchange ideas about literature, music, art and culture. This intimate, covert dinner party will be held in her honor, bringing together Bay Area locals for an evening of relaxation and enjoyment. Seated amongst diners at each table will be featured Bay Area luminaries, including <span style="color: #000000;">Adam Savage of Mythbusters</span>, fiction writer <span style="color: #000000;">Ayelet Waldman</span>, and science writer <span style="color: #000000;">Mary Roach</span>, among others. This is an event that will undoubtedly feed your intellectual appetite.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><a href="http://sonicsf.org/"><span style="color: #000000;">SonicSF</span></a> </span></strong>is a non-profit, innovative public radio program produced by award winning NPR veteran Stacy Bond. The program takes its narrative tendencies from pop-culture and its editorial standards from NPR, to create an addictively entertaining “reality news” series unlike anything currently on the air. Casting begins in January, and the show will be launching in the spring of 2012.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.graffeats.com/">graffEats</a> is a word of mouth, upscale dining event; hosting artists, artisan producers, wine and beer makers, live musicians and complete strangers under the common bond of delicious food coming straight. <p>Why: <span style="color: #000000;">I</span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #000000;">t&#8217;s a blast, a steal, and </span></span><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #000000;">because only delicious mayhem can ensue.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Baskerville;">The Whisk &amp; Ladle Supperclub is set in our four-bedroom loft apartment: 450 sq. feet of dining space with 20-ft. ceilings, a 425 sq. ft open kitchen with an oak bar. You will have three chef/servers at your disposal, as well as a professional bartender.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Baskerville;">We offer five-course meals at a fixed rate. The menu consists of a tastings course served out of the kitchen, followed by soup, entree, salad, and dessert courses. Wines will be matched according to the menu and served with dinner.  A cocktail hour precedes each meal; unique drink offerings will be available from the bartender. There is seating for 30 people. Small sized parties are encouraged.</span></span></p>

Included below are our available dates. </span></span><strong><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Baskerville;">If you&#8217;d like to make dinner reservations, please select a preferred date by placing a &#8220;1st&#8221; next to the date. Please also select a second choice, labeling it &#8220;2nd.&#8221; </span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Baskerville;">2. We cannot guarantee reservations for any date, as there is a limited number of seats available. We promise to try our best to accommodate you.</span></span></p>

In case you <a href="http://2011.noisepop.com/pop-up-shop-2-18">missed it the first time</a>, <em>Covers </em>takes the art of cover songs and applies it to a thematically inspired six-course gourmet meal. <em><span style="color: #000000;">You know that place on the corner of 22nd and Valencia with the line down the block on the weekends</span>.</em> Well, we&#8217;d like to introduce you to <a href="http://www.boogaloossf.com/">Boogaloos</a>. That&#8217;s where our next series of pop ups will be in March.  Always keepin&#8217; it fresh for ya folks &amp; refraining from gettin&#8217; fresh! I hope the efforts, unlike the corny jokes, don&#8217;t go unnoticed.  <strong>We&#8217;re bringing you </strong><strong>4 nights of the new choose-your-own-adventure tasting menu we debuted at The Corner. </strong><strong>Check below for dates. </strong></p>
<p>The menu will be similar at all three dinners (see the list at right), with a few changes. We&#8217;re sticking to the soulful food and soulful beats theme, but with more soul this time, of course. My buddy, Jesse Durocher, from the &#8220;the Laundry&#8221; and Campton Place will be back with me in the kitchen again.</p>

<span>We&#8217;ve been working on the menu all week for our first &#8220;pop up&#8221; dinner </span><span><strong>at the Corner this coming Sunday</strong></span><span>.  A buddy, Jesse Durocher, from the &#8220;the Laundry&#8221; and Campton Place has been collaborating on this one.  In the past, we&#8217;ve done everything we can to avoid restaurants. As we&#8217;re all into trying new things, wink wink, gE wanted to try out a night where guests can come in without all the commitophopbe restrictions.</span></p>
<p>That&#8217;s right we&#8217;re doing small-ish plates where you can build your own tasting menu.  Reservations can be made for the first seating.  After that, bring your sword and shield cuz its first in first seated.  (Sorry, I&#8217;ve been watching Spartacus: Blood and Sand to fall asleep.) <span> We&#8217;re doing  playful dishes along the lines of <em>p</em></span><span><em>l</em></span><span><em>antain-wrapped fried game hen with yeast-risen waffles and giving our &#8220;French Onion Soup&#8221;</em></span><span>from a while back a second run at the title</span><span>.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">There&#8217;s a new top secret space dedicating itself solely to pop up restaurants.  Be one of the first to check out the new digs at our <strong><span style="color: #000000;">&#8220;Dinner and a Flick&#8221; feast for Valentines Day where we pair 5 courses to 5 short films</span></strong>.  (Yep that&#8217;s Feb 14th. Right after my mom&#8217;s birthday.) The menu, films, and all the other little surprises are in the works.  Details will be out shortly.  Don&#8217;t be a knucklehead and wait around till the last minute.  This year will be much more intimate than last year&#8217;s awesomeness, meaning space will be very limited.  Book something great, be done with it, sit back and enjoy&#8230;if you know what I mean.</p>

Playing into the cover&#8217;s theme, Turntable will be providing Musical Pairings for each course. </em>(Covers, of course!) Think, Michel Bras’s Black Olive Oil Poached Monkfish paired with Françoise Hardy’s cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne”<em>. </em></p>

<p>So sorry to have to do this.  Due to uncontrollable circumstances which arose over the weekend, we have elected to reschedule our High On the Hog Event.  We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.  One approach would have been to  take the &#8220;show must go on&#8221; attitude and followed through with the current booked date.  The end result is far more important than a specific date.  We hold ourselves to very high standards and know you have great expectations from us as well.  The last thing we would want to risk is disappointment.  So, we are rescheduling for early September.  The exact date is still being discussed.</p>
